Bella Poarch
Bella Poarch was born in the Philippines on February 9 1997 to her biological Filipino parents. Her maternal grandmother was brought up in the slums of Manila by her parents before she reached 3 years of age. Her adoption was later completed. Her adoptive family is made up of a Filipino adoptive mother as well as a white American soldier. The woman has said she and the adopted brother she had were abused by their adoptive parents from the time she was a child until her entry into the army. The family moved to San Francisco for a few months to live with her aunt before moving to Texas when she was 13 owing the need of her father to undergo bypass surgery. Though the physical violence stopped, she claims to have still suffered emotional abuse from her father at her home. At the age of 18, she joined the United States Navy. Poarch began her TikTok in April 2020, and quickly rose to fame. She amassed over 40 million fans in less that eight months. The account was home to a variety of videos, but her biggest hit was the video she made for Millie B's hit song Soph Aspin Send. The clip, which was zoomed in, of her lip-syncing rhythmically to the song and leaping into the song was a viral video that became TikTok's top-rated video. After joining TikTok she started her own YouTube and Twitter account to capitalize on the fame. The fame of Poarch peaked in December 2020. Poarch was reportedly the subject of interest of two major professionals Esports teams. FaZe Clan and 100 Thieves expressed an interest in her hiring as an author of content under the respective brand names.
